ABOUT US
Background
In 1979, Oak Lawn Tennis Association (OLTA) was started by a group of friends who enjoyed tennis. OLTA holds a historic legacy as a trailblazer in LGBTQ+ sports, having hosted the first LGBTQ+ tennis tournament in the country. OLTA is also a charter member of the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance.
OLTA invites all players -- no matter how you identify or ability level -- to play social and competitive tennis, and join fun social activities, throughout the year.
OLTA is a non-profit organization. Member dues cover court fees, club tournaments, social events and administrative costs. Proceeds from some events go to charities in the DFW area.
